7 great reasons to use a blister (or medication) pack

Blister packs (also called medication packs) are a great way to keep your medical independence

Here are 7 ways that they can help

 1. We organise all of your medications for you.

You bring in all your medicines from all of your prescribers and we will set up the best dosing times for you. We determine if certain medicines are better taken during the day or at night, and then place the medication into the correct slot.

If there is doubt we will contact your doctor or specialist to ensure the correct medication is taken at the correct time

2. Easily check to see if a dose has been taken.

Simply glance at the pack to see whether or not the bubble for that dose is empty.

Your family and people who assist you can more easily ensure that you have taken the correct dose at the right time without the embarrasment of asking: have you taken your medication yet?

No more embarrasing questions.

3. Save time.

No more sorting and counting pills into those store purchased plastic self managed pill packs. They get dirty and unhygenic

No more making multiple trips to the pharmacy at different times of the month to pick up your repeats. The pharmacy will organise all this on your behalf

4. As a carer you can feel confident that you can now manage your loved ones medication needs.

Even with the best of intentions, carers have a lot of anxiety over whether they have correctly set up those plastic store bought packs. They wonder, am I doing the right thing? Is this the correct time? Is it now once a day or twice a day? Did the doctor say something about two in the morning or was it twice a day? No one wants to worry about making a medication mistake that could causing a hospital admission.

5. Your vitamins and other over-the-counter (OTC) medicines can also be included.

If you want to include OTC medicines or supplements simply ask us to include them in the pack.

6. You can have your medications safely delivered to your door.

You don’t need to leave home. You will feel safe in the fact that you are not mixing with people with potential life threatening and communicable diseases whilst at the pharmacy or whilst out collecting your medications

7. We are at the end of the phone so rest assured we are here to help

We are only a phone call away and can quickly help with any medication query you have
