Getting your medicines during COVID-19 restrictions

Image
Paper and digital copy prescriptions Doctors can provide you with a paper prescription or send a digital copy of the prescription to your preferred pharmacy following a telehealth consultation. If your doctor sends a fax , email or a photo of a script to a pharmacy, you must fill the prescription at that pharmacy. If there are any repeats on the prescription, the repeats must be kept at that pharmacy. You can contact the pharmacy to arrange the next supply of your medicine when you need it.   If you wish to move your script to another pharmacy or retain your prescription at home you must arrange with the doctor to sent the ORIGINAL to the pharmacy. The pharmacy can then process it and give it back to you with any repeats remaining The doctor can now give you a digital prescription where there is no paper component. You receive the script as an email or as a SMS and you take your phone to the pharmacy to process the script. If it's on your phone you cannot ring the pharmacy
